Current Engagement (01/08 to Present) - Providing Enterprise Architecture consulting to leading Dedicated Server Hosting company. Creating logical Enterprise and Solution Architecture models for Bandwidth Collection, DNS Administration, Automated Provisioning, and IPV6. Using Sparx Systems' Enterprise Architect modeling tools to design and convey both short and long term solutions for the Business and IT.

Multiple Engagements (06/06 to Present) - Performed Architecture and Analysis for multiple clients using Casewise and Enterprise Architect. These engagements included Value Chain discovery and assessment, mapping of business objectives to business processes, architecture modeling mentoring, and technical architecture assessment.

Previous Engagement (01/06 to 06/06) - Conceptual Architect consulting for a leading IP Networking Company. Developing Enterprise Architecture models which communicate Organizational direction and drives Software Development, using Casewise Corporate Modeler. Helping to leverage architecture best practices across Releases using a combination of different Frameworks in order to bridge communication of requirements to management, operations, and development. Previous Engagement (01/03 to 12/05) – Conceptual Architecture consulting for a “Big 4” professional services partnership providing Enterprise Architecture mentoring and incremental project level skills. Provided guidance and input to the Enterprise Application Roadmap and Blueprint utilizing the Zachman, FEAF, and NASCIO frameworks, specifically focused on the functional business areas involving Risk and Compliance. Providing guidance for the establishment of a Business Architecture and Information Architecture Life Cycle. Working with Casewise Corporate Modeler to create, maintain, and communicate Enterprise Architecture deliverables. Worked to help train and implement a new Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) by helping new development projects ease into new guidelines using contextual examples and one on one mentoring.

Previous Engagement (07/01 to 12/02) - Providing Conceptual Architecture consulting for Sprint International Operations and Planning/Engineering Groups by facilitating the definition of TTI-Telecom NetCap(Inventory) short and long range requirements through the use of facilitated user requirement sessions and use case diagrams. Acting as internal subject matter expertise for Sprint International, provided day to day guidance, training support, and 2^nd level bug resolutions for TTI Netcap in the production environment.

Provided Enterprise Architecture guidance to Sprint International’s OSS development team, who provides Service Delivery and Service Assurance capabilities to their off-shore optical mesh networks. Participated in the vendor evaluation and selection processes for COTS NMS/EMS, network planning tool software packages and 3^rd party professional services. Worked with Team Telecom International(TTI) on architecture, configuration, and integration of the Netcap and EWO(workflow) applications with CRM and Billing applications. Fully participated in the system and product testing phases of the project. Helped bring the TTI application into production. Worked with Sprint’s Advanced Technology Lab to create a realistic test network configuration, using the Ciena CoreDirector and Tellabs Focus LX, in order to complete integration testing between the Netrac NMS and the element interfaces. McleodUSA – Sr. Architect                                                                                   Sept. 2000 to July 2001
IT Architecture for the deployment of OSS and Back Office applications to support the roll out of the McLeodUSA National Mesh Fiber Network. Was responsible for a broad set of architectural and development approach concerns including vendor hardware/software evaluations, high level business requirements from all organizations, shared data architecture, network to OSS integration, application integration, hands on optical lab setup, and network planning/modeling/simulation tools. Facilitating development of Optical Transport Equipment northbound interfaces, including Ciena CoreDirector, Cisco 15454, and Nortel, in order to integrate functions into back-office FCAPS applications. Created and managed the Data Discovery and Demonstration Center. Duties included the creation of demonstration databases and queries using various databases and front-end tools. Demonstrations are telecommunications industry related and can be access by remote dial up by the Sales and Marketing teams. Data discovery and data mining is accomplished using samples of actual customer data, which is evaluated and the findings are presented to the customer.

1/95 to 12/95 - Program Marketing Manager, responsible for vertical marketing programs concerning Decision Support and Data Warehousing for the telecommunications industry.  Duties included technical program management, business discovery and analysis, Independent Software Vendor product evaluation, and responding to RFIs and RFPs. Acted as a technical resource for Customers, management, and peers regarding telecommunications industry Decision Support requirements, logical business modeling, and applicability of software tools. These tools were developed for uses such as Executive Information Systems, end-user query, data mining, multi-dimensional analysis, and Geographic Information Systems. Hands-on experience with Oracle Parallel and Redbrick databases running on Unisys' Open Parallel Unisys Server and SMP platforms as well as a number of software packages such as the Information Discovery Suite, Business Objects, Andyne GQL, MapInfo, and Brio Query.

Responsible for gathering user input and creating Business Requirements documents which serve as the basis for system development staff to create new or enhance existing applications which provide systematic solutions to business needs and problems. Involved in the Analysis and creation of Business Requirement documents, which cover business functions such as Order Administration, Billing, Provisioning, Trouble Reporting, Asset Management, and Network Management. Member of internal re-engineering team established to focus on frame relay service delivery. Member of the ATM Implementation Team, responsible for project managing the integration of WilTel's ATM NMS to the Administrative Business Systems. Program Manager, responsible for project management and planning functions of the Transmission Optimization Program. Duties include facilitating planning meetings, determining sizing, benefits, and scope, producing regular status reports, maintaining an issue log, and preparing management presentations. Maintain a high level of awareness concerning the telecommunication industry's direction, particularly in the area of transmission network technologies.

11/90 to 12/92 - Sr. Engineer, responsible for definition and analysis of technical business requirements for incorporation into the Sprint Facility Management System(FMS) using the IE-STRADIS development methodology. Project management of every phase of the development life cycle including requirements gathering, program coding, acceptance testing, documentation completion and application delivery. Projects include DCMS 1/0 and 3/3 FMS interfaces, DCS 3/3 and 3/1 database support in FMS, preliminary requirements for SONET capable equipment databasing and facility assignment. Creation of SAS reports for Network groups external to FMS development, as well as SAS reports utilized for decision support and database reconciliation.

9/89 to 11/90 - Engineer III, acted as subject matter expert for Network Facility Design and Implementation in the development of Facility Management System enhancements. Participated in development of Project NOTE by interfacing with I/S and Network Administrative System Development to define the business requirements of the system. Supervised west region design engineers, tasked with citypair and IMT circuit design in FMS. Developed decision support reports for management using SAS, Dbase/Clipper, S1032, and Ramis II.

8/88 to 9/89 - Analyst III, responsible for DS1 and DS3 citypair design for the east region. Developed automated DS1/DS3 citypair design program to increase citypair design productivity and accuracy. Created ad hoc management reports from provisioning systems to track network diversity and compliance with the transmission routing plan.
